Help Someone Or Leave Him Alone

Praying not accompanied by giving is not good enough. We are commanded to love one another as Christ loved us and He loved us by giving Himself to us, which is the ultimate kind of giving. Prayer must bring forth love and giving. Anyone who merely prays without giving is not truly praying and also not fully obeying the commandment to love another as oneself.

One promises to pray for someone when one fails to help someone. This could be a genuine case of inability or it could be a polite excuse for not helping someone. Helping is troublesome. It always involves cost that not many are willing to pay. Of course prayer is also help, but it must be sincere in order to be so.Help. Do not advice. Help. Do not compliment. When a man needs help, just help. When a man needs help the best thing one can do for him is to give him help. Any other thing no matter how well-meant it may be is quite useless.
Feed someone. Or just leave him alone.
You don't lecture about the need for conserving food to the one who is hungry. You just feed him.

Don't call me "son" and fail to act like my mother. Don't call me " a great prophet" and fail to give me your immediate attention.
When a desperate young man came to me several years ago and asked me for help, I'm grateful that I didn't send him away with only a prayer. When my own uncle requested me for help at a time when no one would trust him, I'm grateful that I didn't send him with only my tears and prayers. Yesterday when I met a needy person on the road, I'm grateful that I didn't leave her only with my blessings. I'm grateful to God that He made me give on every occasion, for giving is better than receiving and is better than only praying without giving.

I certainly appreciate the one who does not even bother to look in the direction of a needy person than the one who approaches him with pious love and many spoken blessings without actually doing one practical thing to meet his need.
To care about something and to do nothing about it is not caring at all.

God In Sam - My New Computer Is Born

My new computer is already born in my heart. Once I labelled a certain phase in my work, "God and Sam". In that name I now see a detachment. My new computer will herald a new era of oneness between me and my God. That is why I have christened it "God In Sam". I have not bought it yet. I don't even have the means to buy it as of now. But I know that this computer is on its way into my life. God will surely bring it into reality. I know this. And I thank God in advance for it.

The Voice Goes On

It is June in 2014. After seven breathless years of God-serving and nearly 3000 videos on YouTube, my voice has ceased to speak publicly for God, and my video camera has taken its longest break yet. It is my hope that my voice will speak again, and when it does it will not be the same any more.

Before my computer, Sam's Notebook, ceased to function totally, I had a dream. I was in a church, a familiar church, attempting to read the words of the hymn, "Abide With Me." But for many reasons I couldn't read the hymn. And many of these reasons had little to do with me. The hymn book didn't seem right. Then the microphone failed. Then I moved to the other side of the aisle for some strange reason. Later I wanted to return to the side where I was originally, and there was a man blocking my way. When I arrived at this side, it seemed all right for me to read. But when I started to read the lights went out. And then they came back again. So I tried once more. But the hymn book again failed me. So I decided to recite the words from memory. But I couldn't get past the first few lines, as my my memory failed me. Finally I decided to abandon the reading of the hymn and decided to speak about it. All the while the congregation seemed to wait patiently for me. And that really surprised me. So I started off this new approach with a few jokes and the audience smiled appreciatively. Wow, I still had my audience after all that time of waiting and experimenting! And they were waiting for me.

This makes me confident that those who want to hear my voice will wait for me. I don't know when I will start broadcasting video messages again. But according to the aforementioned dream, I will broadcast again but in a different manner. This is a promise from God to me. And I don't doubt it.

Count Your Blessings

When you are troubled count your blessings. And you'll be surprised by what God has done for you.

Take The Fear Out Of Your Love

Sometimes in life fear and faith go together. Sometimes one does certain things in life because of fear. Sometimes we do things in fear even in faith. Even in what seems like faith there is fear. But we are told in the Bible that perfect love drives out fear, that the one perfected in love will not fear. There should be no fear in love. And the ultimate object of faith is to arrive at love. The ultimate desire of everyone who follows God is to arrive at love. The ultimate aim of everyone who wants to know God is to know that love, not only to know that love but also to practise it. So let us not be afraid today, those who wish to know the love of God. Let us not be afraid today. Let us not be afraid of God. Let us not fear his judgement. But let us be aware of his love. And let us seek his love and desire his love and want to experience his love in our own lives. Let what we do for God today be without fear. May what we do for God today be an act of love and purely an act of love.

I Had To Come Here Today

I had to come here today to acknowledge God. It is God that I choose to acknowledge today, though I could acknowledge something else. I realize that God has called me to do His work. He who has called me must also choose me. I don't want to be among those who are called but not chosen. I have suffered failures in my life. But I do not want to fail in this. I do not want to fail in being God's servant.

God has promised His people that He will deliver them from the many troubles that they will face in their lives. I hold on to this promise. I choose to acknowledge the God who promised to stay near me and deliver me from the troubles in my life. So it is important for me to acknowledge God as my God, the One who saves me from all my troubles. And though I say this, not in desirable circumstances, I do so with a certain sense of relief and a certain degree of satisfaction because this is what I have chosen to do. And this is what I have been called to do. And may I prove to be worthy in the eyes of the One who called me, and may He choose me to do His work.

God, Remember Your Servants Today

Let God be worshipped today. Let the people of God celebrate their God today. Let the people of God not fail to bless their God today. Let them not forget His benefits.

Let God not forget His people today. Let Him not forget to bless His people today, especially those who cry out to Him, especially those who have asked Him, especially those who have knocked repetitively on His door. May God not forget His people. May God respond to the prayers of His people.

May the people who serve God do so sincerely. May they serve Him wholeheartedly. May God remember His servants today. May God remember their prayers. And may God provide for all His people. May God provide for His servants, who look to Him, who are dependent on Him. May God not forget His servants today. This is my prayer. Amen

Lord, Remember Me Today

O God, I have come so far. Don’t leave me here right in the middle of nowhere. Don’t forsake me now. Forgive me for what I have not done. Forgive me for what I have thought and what I have considered in a manner that is offensive to you. Remember that I love you. Remember that I care about you. Remember that I want to know you. And remember that I want to serve you.

Remember the time when I pledged my servitude to you as a child. Remember that dream in which you appeared and remember my response. O Lord, remember today. Remember me. I’m in a dry place. I’m in a lonely place. I need your care. I need your support. I need your love today. Show me your love today O Lord.

42 years You have walked with me. Even when I did not know that You were beside me You walked with me.  You walked with me, guiding me, helping me, loving me, even when I didn’t love You. Today remember me. Remember the child who cried out to You. Remember the young man who did not think about You. Remember the man who spoke for You. Remember the man who spurned many things to know You. Remember me today O Lord. Don’t abandon me. Amen.

How do we worship God?

Many people go to church to worship God. Denominational differences in Christianity may involve different styles of worship. But what ...
