Sayings of Samuel Godfrey George - October 2015, Part 1

Faith at its best is trusting in God when it makes no sense.

Wisdom is learning to be at peace with your imperfections.

This is God's kindness to me, I asked him for something I needed very much. But I waited a year or more to ask him for that. When I finally did ask him he supplied my need instantly. Today I can only smile and say the words with awe, "God is great."

Let's not get lost in ourselves. Let's appreciate others. It is when we see the good in others, others will be able to see the good in us.

No one can uproot what God has planted. So grow without fear knowing that God will sustain what he planted.

To be happy in life you should try to make others happy. True happiness is in giving and not receiving.

We need to sow before we can reap. We need to work before we can enjoy the benefits. We need to employ the talent that God has given us. And we need to give to others from what we have freely received. Yes, all of us have received a measure of God's grace. And each of us has a gift. We must use this gift to benefit others and bring them close to God. We need to bring God glory, for this alone is our thanksgiving for his gracious gifts. And when we give like this we will receive, exactly in the same way we gave. There is no denying this.

God alone is the giver. Human beings are only agents of God. We should ask God and expect to receive from him through human beings. Sometimes we need to do more than ask God for something. We need to keep on asking. But we should only ask God in that way. He alone can give what we ask. He alone can make something happen when nothing seems to go our way. God alone can make a way when there seems to be no way. And it is his way that we must always seek.

Know God's heart before you ask him anything. God loves you and cares for you. God will give you what you need. You must be willing to wait for it. Use your talent to bring glory to God. Every one of us has something to give. Give as much as you can. And you will receive in the same measure in which you gave. Make no mistake about this. We give because we have received. We give and we will receive in the same manner as we gave. These are divine truths that will always prevail.

Ask God before you ask anyone else. Ask God and believe that you will receive. He will help you through humans most probably. But you should ask God first.

You will receive your miracle when God wants it to happen. Wait patiently until then. He will be on time.

You need to rest because God wants you to rest. You can worry and feel desperate. But this will do you no good. In fact this will have an adverse effect on your health. If you trust in God, you must rest in his promise. Believe that he will help you somehow.

Don't look at your problem. Look at God. Fix your eyes on God. And he will come to your rescue.

A grateful heart will express itself. There is no need to prod it.

Whether we believe in a god or no god, many of us live with a desire for common good. We want to help others besides helping ourselves and our near and dear. We want to give something back, for we realize we have taken something away for our personal use. But to whom or to what we are in debt we cannot agree about that. We want to be good, but we cannot agree about why we want to be good. We want to die peacefully and gratefully, with fulfilled aims, whether we believe in a supernatural deity or not. This common desire for good is what unites a severely fractured world. Let our beliefs in god or no god not prevent us from holding on to the basic thing that unites all human beings. Let us not widen the fractures that are already there. Let us walk toward one another and cross over the fractures.

Some don't need God. Some don't need any god. All that they need is their mind and what it has so clearly revealed to them. Years of ill-formed belief and crushing dogma are said to have turned hearts away from the worship of a supernatural deity thought to dwell in the sky but also seen to be present everywhere on earth. People who don't need God just need their minds and what their minds have collectively found. And this is what they have found. They have found that the deity or deities that many worship cannot be found anywhere on earth or anywhere above. All that exists is the outcome of many scientific processes and the point of origin is still being studied. But many who study this origin are not ready to admit the reality of a creator. For the scientific truths do not point to a creation but an evolution of everything that we now find around us. Their knowledge is still incomplete and may always remain incomplete, as long as they are human. But that will not prevent some of them from making the ultimate guess. There is nothing supernatural about this natural universe. That's what they think. And that's the assumption which will shape whatever they find in future.

Let us give up our unsound beliefs and move on with what we know deeply in our hearts. God is the only one to be honoured. He alone is good. He alone should be followed. He loves us more than any human parent. He cares for us more than any human does. He alone knows what is best for us. It is he alone that we should be loyal to. But to know him we must go through a terrible period of learning, where we need to give up our ill-formed, immature theories of God and our incomplete black and white vision of what is right and what is wrong.

Have all those who lived long been obedient people who honoured their parents? Are all those who live long God-fearing people who acknowledge and honour God in their hearts? The way of the world seems different from what is believed by some people. God-fearing people seem to live more troubled lives than those who have no need to acknowledge God. Some have undergone torture and death for their faith. Some have endured disdain and ridicule for their loyalty to God. Nearly all believers continue in their difficult journey of faith by believing that their rewards will come in another life. But life on earth, as it superficially seems, offers few rewards and many sufferings to those who walk after God.

When I wake up, I long to get back to work. That is my great blessing.

God keeps me going. By myself I would have stopped a long time ago, and I would have been a perennial rolling stone by now without any moss.

Even a useless thing is useful when it points you to what is useful.

When life doesn't make sense, hold on to the belief that God always makes sense. Even when good things are removed from your life and blessings seem plucked out of your hands, God is still at play, and whatever he allows he has a good reason for it, and he will cause all things, even these terribly unfair things to work together for your good in the end.

When a door is closed, even when a promising door is closed, and there seems to be no good reason for that to happen, believe that all things happen for a purpose, and God is behind all of them. He will not allow what is eventually not good for you. And he is the only one you should never lose sight of. For no plan is as beneficial as his plan for you. And no one can shut what he opens. And no one can put down what he has exalted.

Accidents will happen. Misunderstandings will go on. People will tread on your toes. Demons will dance. But you have to go where God tells you to go, and do what he tells you to do, even if the way is blocked and the door is shut in your face.

God can exceed our expectations. But he does not always. Jesus said that it would be done according to our faith. So to receive from God we should expect him to give. To receive more we should expect more. We should believe that God is a giver and that his giving can exceed our expectations by a great margin.

Forgiveness is an outcome of love. A great outcome of God's love is forgiveness. The best gift that human beings receive from God's love is forgiveness. When we receive God's forgiveness graciously in this loving manner, we should also reflect the same graciousness to others. As God loves us we should love others. As God forgave us in love, we too should forgive others in love. That is why we should not give any place in our lives to bitterness, rage and anger, and we should not engage ourselves in brawling and slander. We should be kind and compassionate, seeing others as God sees us.

There is one God and so there is only one love that unites us all. This love surpasses knowledge, because no man-made knowledge can grasp it. But by the Spirit of God, we will be given the grace to grasp how wide and long, high and deep this love of God runs, cutting across man-made boundaries and penetrating superficial barriers. Not only will love embrace us all but it will also equip us to serve God and become united in faith as God intends us to be. When we reach that place, we will become Christ-like in the most complete manner.

God loves you. He will always love you. He will always forgive you no matter how much you sin. But should you return his love with rebellion against him? This is the question that all who receive his love have to answer.

You don't save a life by sinning. You ruin your own life.

Wait for God. It may seem like a long time. But it is worth it.

As long as you know that your love is true, don't worry about someone else thinks.

Don't try to do something great. Just do something that will bring you and someone else joy.

If you want to prove to someone that God is real and that he is here, let them see him in you. Love someone you would normally hate. Bless someone you would normally curse. Help the poor without drawing attention to yourself. Think kind thoughts about everyone. See God in everyone, no matter how they see you.

If you want to prove that God is here, then show them that God is in you. That's the only way you can prove it.

You love God by loving people. Love people without expecting anything in return. Love even those who are difficult to love. That's how you show everyone how much you love God.

I don't spend too much time writing anything. I let the words tumble out of me. There will always be a better expression. But I try to come up with a sincere expression as quickly as possible. I don't go after the elusive best. I stick with the spontaneous and not- so-perfectly-formed expression.

Some wise men in this world do not believe in God. Because the very idea of God is not logical to them. And the knowledge of God appears like foolishness to them. They see believers in God as deluded. And so believers are seen as fools. But the Bible presents an opposite case. Those who believe in God are seen as wise, and those who disbelieve in God are seen as fools. These fools despise the knowledge of God and refuse to be instructed by the truth of God.

The fear of the Lord is unknown to the fools of this world. To be a fool in the biblical sense is to deny the very existence of God. The fools of this world not only deny that God exists but also despise the knowledge of God, which is transmitted to us through the ages by the writers of the Bible.

There is avoidable sin. And then there is unavoidable sin. Don't let the avoidable become unavoidable.

Sin is sin. It doesn't become admirable if it is a means of achieving something good. Sin will most likely be forgiven if you confess it to God. But let God's graciousness not be a license to sin, even for a worthy purpose.

Don't sin consciously to help someone else. Your good intention will mean nothing if you carry it out knowing well that you are rebelling against God.

Help people. But don't do anything that you know is wrong in order to do what is right. There are no prizes in heaven for right work done in the wrong way.

People are naturally haters and vengeance-seekers. Forgiveness is unnatural and maybe even impossible for human beings without God. But when humans allow God to shape their lives they will become more capable of forgiveness, but that alone will not always ensure best results. It is when a human being recognizes his own bottomless depravity and how God graciously forgave his unforgivable mistakes that he will be moved to forgive his human offenders in the same way.

People are naturally fault-finders. They cannot tolerate in others what they so effortlessly tolerate in themselves. Humans are hypocrites until they admit the truth about themselves. That is what Jesus Christ will enable humans to do.

Jesus made no attempt to underestimate the power of sin. Sin is terrible and has dire consequences. That is why he suggested that we enter heaven without the body parts that had committed sin. But this should not be taken literally, or we will make the foolish mistake of thinking that it is only the body part that sinned and not the entire human being, under the control of a sinful nature. All sins are the fruits of this nature. Even after spiritual regeneration or rebirth, even as the human mind is renewed in spiritual strength, the natural inclinations of man will surface frequently, and sin will be unavoidable as long as one is in the flesh.

You should ask for help as directly as possible, expecting to be helped. If you do not receive help you should not be upset. Some people will help. Others will be reluctant to help. But God will help you through someone. You can be confident of that. God is faithful. And he will help, usually through a human being.

We are in this world together. We help others because we ourselves have received help.We help others knowing that someday we too may need help. We help others because it is the right thing to do. God has put us together, and it is not for the purpose of living for ourselves, but for the purpose of helping one another. We cannot live our lives well in isolation, caring only for ourselves. Such a life if possible will be ultimately self-defeating.

God does not appear to us in person. But we see God in one another. You see God in others and others see God in you. Our concern for others, our compassion for the suffering, our deeds of sacrificial love for the sake of others, bring out God in us. Yes God is with us and he will be seen in us. This is what Jesus Christ enabled us to experience.

How do you know that God loves you? Consider your life. Consider the people who love you and take care of you. Consider the kindness people have shown to you. Look at the world and its beauty. Look at a flower. Look at a butterfly. And you will see the love of God for you.

God loves all that he created. Every human creator will prize and protect his creation. God does the same but even better and more reliably than any human can do.

The love that outlasts every other love is God's love. It is the spontaneous love of a father for his children. It is the natural love of a creator for what he created. It is a love as lasting as the one who feels it. It is a love without end. It is a love that is not dependent on performance or tied to any expectation. It is a love that only wants to give.

Human love cannot satisfy. Humans love today and hate tomorrow. Humans love and hate interchangeably. Humans love themselves more than they love others. Human love is nearly always tied to expectations. Human love frequently does not tolerate the faults of others. So human love cannot satisfy the one who is looking for something more consistent and enduring, and which does not depend on outcomes.

We don't get to choose the people we love. It is right to love everyone. It is best to love those whom we find difficult to love.

God's love is needed because human love will not do.

I'd like to meet people. But if some people don't like to meet me I understand that. There is a lot to experience in life. There is a lot to appreciate and acknowledge. There is a lot to learn and a lot to do. Meeting people is only of the many things to do.

The last days madness is not something that I subscribe to. I am not drawn to doomsday predictions. I prefer to be aware of my own limitedness and vulnerability. Life on earth cannot be guaranteed to anyone. So anyone can die any time. Therefore it is best that one lives today as though this could very well be our last day. This is an ideal way to do our best every day.

Are these the last days of the world? These could very well be the last days for you or me individually. There is no way any one can tell exactly when the last days of this world will begin. There is no use in guessing that. It is better to assume that these may very well be the last days for us individually. And we should live in the immediacy of that truth, doing what is not only best for ourselves but also for others.

Some of us simplistically think that Jesus brings only peace, for he is called the Prince of Peace. But his peace is not the kind that the world gives. His peace initially comes as war. And in the war Christ will let you find a peace that surpasses human understanding. Even as dissension and conflict arise out of Christ and our allegiance to him, we will find a rest in his ultimate truth and ever-present guidance. This is the shelter available in the great storm that our love for Christ brings about in our lives.

We don't live in a free world where we can roam freely and do anything we want. Everything has consequences, even our attitude to God. Though we should love God ultimately, we should also fear him. For great is his capacity to destroy us. And he can destroy us utterly. Even humans may kill the body, but only God can kill the soul. And that is the part that we shouldn't allow to die. So like a responsible teacher Jesus Christ warns us regarding our attitude to God. As long as we know and fear what he is ultimately capable of doing, and walk in awareness of his ultimacy, there is nothing to fear. In fact only then can fear really dissolve, and calm enter.

Sayings of Samuel Godfrey George - September 2015, Part 2

The fire must not only be in your voice. It must first be in your heart, and it must also be in your mind. Just loud words with no heart and mind will only be empty.

Two things are possible today. You can focus on what has gone wrong in your life and feel sorry for yourself. Or you can focus on what God is doing in your life and believe that he will not let your life slip beyond his control. What will you choose to do today?

Don't be sad today no matter how tough life is. Remember this. God loves you. And he is good. And he wants to do something good in your life today. So wipe away your tears and wear a smile on your face. God is near and he will not let you down.

Our present troubles are nothing compared to the everlasting joy that we are going to experience in the life with God. Yes, we will live eternally with God after we go through this life of troubles. So let us patiently endure our sufferings and give thanks to God for his kindness to us, for he made it possible for us to live with him eternally, by the death of his Son on the cross. And let us not fail to rejoice in his goodness today.

If you are going to feel sorry for yourself today there will be no time for rejoicing in what God has done in your life.

Don't waste your time feeling sad for yourself. All of us are going through some trouble or the other. Even those of us who are smiling forever are going through some hidden trouble. Life is not without troubles. In fact Jesus Christ said that in this life we will have many troubles. Let us be grateful for what we have, for the good things that God has kindly given us. We may not have much, but as long as we have God, we have everything we need. Shall we rejoice in this today?

It is good to meet people who want to meet you. It is good to meet such people even if you don't want to meet them.

Learn to appreciate God's pace even when it seems terribly slow.

Believing in people may not be a very sensible thing to do. People may lie and cheat and deceive and make themselves look good when they are deeply flawed within. Yet we must love people, trusting and believing in them even when such an attitude can be self-defeating. Love always trusts. Love always believes in the best in people knowing well that people are essentially unreliable and unpredictable. This is a terrible way to live yet this is the only way God wants us to live.

Moving forward may actually be sitting down and enjoying what you have, instead of running after something you will never have.

I don't want everything. But I want something. And I want to enjoy it when I get it. I don't want to constantly desire something else, that I don't sit down and enjoy what I have with me right now. Yes, I want to sit down and enjoy what I have. Walking always, seeking always is not going to bring me the joy that I need today.

You need to like what you do. That is all this required. The appreciation of others is desirable, but not mandatory. You can go on in life without the appreciation of people, as long as you can appreciate yourself and do what brings you satisfaction.

Respond to those who knock on your door. Friendship is not easy. It takes courage to make friends in the world. It takes courage to open your door to someone despite your innermost fears. The one who keeps his door locked may think he is protecting himself from intruders. But God didn't create us to lock ourselves in our secure homes. We need to go out and meet people, even those and especially those whom we find uncomfortable, undesirable and dangerous. If we won't respond to the knock on our door we will not know how much we can give or receive. If we play safe we will lose more than we will ever know. Trust in God and open your door to the one who seeks your love today. If you won't you are surely withdrawing your love from someone, to say the very least. And you will not receive all the love that you can possibly receive.

Do you want to love? Love yourself first. Love what you are, and who you are. Love God who created you for a certain purpose. And the purpose is to know the love of God who loved you enough to put you on this planet. He loved you enough to let you see the wonder of life. Now see that wonder, and appreciate your life. Do what you are able to do, and do it well, and do it happily. Be grateful for everything, even when you feel you don't have much. Be grateful for anything, even if it seems like a trifle. Don't compare yourself with others. Just look at yourself today, and count your blessings, even the ones that seem to have gone away. Hold on to the blessings that are still with you, and appreciate what you have. This will be a step forward in your life.

What can you do? You can keep trying. Try to smile. Try to be happy about something that you can still do. Do it. And enjoy doing it. Help yourself before you help any other person. You just can't do good to others if you can't do good to yourself. Like yourself. Be yourself. Do what only you can do. Love yourself so much that you don't hurt yourself. And when you're done doing that you can go out and help others.

What should I be happy about? Be happy about everything. Why should I be happy about things that are not so great when compared with what someone else has? Don't compare yourself with others. Just look at what you had once and what you have now. Be happy with progress if there is progress. If there is no progress, be happy that you still have something left.

If we want to love God with all our heart and mind and might, that is a good thing, even if we can't achieve it in our own strength. Let not our failure to love God in this way be a stumbling block to our spiritual growth. This thing we must do cannot be done in our strength. Our love for God is something that we cannot produce on our own. We need to pray for it day and night, and wait as long as it takes to receive that love. So be grateful now for this desire you feel in your heart. Feeling this surely indicates that you belong to God.

God is for you. Don't be ashamed of what you've done. None of us have measured up to God's standard of good. None of us ever will. The only way we find acceptability before God is when we stand in Christ. And that is what we must do today.

Rejoicing in God means rejoicing in life, and all the good that we find in life.

Live with the desire to give to someone even if that takes something away from you.

Be willing to give even when you are not acknowledged as the giver.

When something goes wrong, remember the time when everything went right, and give thanks to God.

People come and go, but God goes on with me forever.

God knows your needs. And he will supply. Trust in that promise and rest.

I am a servant of God. I try to speak about him as well as I know him. I want the world to know God, as I know him.

Anyone can make a promise. But it takes a special person to live up to his or her word.

Problems began when the first human being chose to disobey God and obey the devil. God warned Adam about the dire consequences of disobedience. God warned him that he would die both spiritually and physically. But Adam still disobeyed. And God's warning came true. Adam and the generations of his children suffer the consequences of that disobedience. We are the children of Adam, and as long as we are in the flesh we are under a curse pronounced by God at the very beginning of history. Nevertheless we are not doomed. Jesus Christ came into the world to release us from the curse. But for us to experience the release we must endure the cross set before us, and live with our problems. God will not let us suffer beyond what we can bear.

Friend, I am sorry about the problems in your life. But you have a God who loves you very much. And he will not forsake you in a time of trouble. Know that and rest in that promise.

God won't fail you, whatever you are going through. Just turn to him and lay down your burdens at his feet. You should rest in the assurance that he will surely take care of what you handed over to him.

There are problems in every life. But that does not diminish the truth of a loving God. We go through problems in the knowledge that God is always present with us and ready to help us if we would turn to him. Maybe we go through problems in life to arrive at the feet of God who alone can give us relief. We find him out eventually, after much worrying and questioning. And when we go to him he will not fail us.

Pay attention to what is commonly believed and accepted. There may be quite a lot to treasure in that. The uncommon may be sensational but it may not be true. There is much to speak for a way of life that has been preserved for many centuries.

People are often drawn to the uncommon. They will gravitate to the uncommon even if it not true. They work under the assumption that something of interest and value is usually found in what is not commonly known. This may be true in some cases. But in the process of being always attracted to the uncommon, there is a danger of not paying attention to what is common, for there is much to value in what is common.

If you can't accept yourself the way you are, it will be a tragedy. When God accepts you just as you are, you should attempt to do the same.

It is not by gritting one's teeth and clenching one's fists that the great victories in faith are won. It is by trusting in the unchanging nature of God, who will never leave us or forsake us. This we must remember even as the ground beneath us is shaking and our world is appearing to collapse.

Lord, may your great wisdom penetrate my head and lord over my heart. Let your eternally valid truth guide my wayward feet till the day I die. May my dissolute heart find permanent health in your glorious light that dispels the hellish darkness I find inside.

You should welcome the people who walk into your door and not look for others who will not come in.

Sayings of Samuel Godfrey George - September 2015, Part 1

Let us not fail to approach God today with our problems. Let us be confident of his help. Let us cast all out cares on God because he cares for us.

God, please care for your children today. We are calling out to you, asking for your help. Will you not help us? Will you not care for us? The Bible says that we should cast all our cares on you, because you care for us. That is what we are doing today. Please respond to us favourably. Please care for us today. Let those who turn to you today not be disappointed.

Give a little bit of love and you will get a lot of it back.

If God gave it to you he will help you keep it. Just trust him to do it. Don't panic if he is late.

Don't worry about it. It's not going to go away if you worry. God is there for you. Count on him. It won't be a waste of time. God won't disappoint the one who counts on him.

Attend to the one who knocks on your door. Stop thinking about those who will not even bother to come near your door.

Let tomorrow rest with God. Let your worries about tomorrow cease today. Look around and appreciate what is still there. And then decide to be happy about it.

Let me like the one who seems to go against me. Let me particularly like that one. If possible let me appreciate that person.

It's fear that makes us do the most foolish things in the name of faith. There is no fear in love. And when you know God's love, there is nothing to fear.

God's timing and our timing do not always agree. Often God appears late. God has his reasons, and works according to his plan. And though he takes time, he achieves what he wants in the most complete manner. This is why Solomon said, "He makes all things beautiful in his time."

Nothing is more valuable than knowing God and being with him. Not even the people in life that we value the most, such as parents, siblings, spouses and friends, and even our very lives, matter less than our being with God. To be with God we must love him more than anything else in the world.

Let me seek God today. Let me ask him to do his will in my life. Let God's plan be my life. Let his desires be mine. Let his joy be mine. Let me love like God and give without restraint expecting nothing but the joy of giving. Let me rejoice in all that God has done in this universe and in this world. Let me proclaim him as King in every place, especially in my own heart. Let this come to pass now.

Live your life no matter how unattractive it is. Don't try to live someone else's life no matter how attractive it is.

Is it hard to forget your past mistakes? It's because you haven't forgiven yourself. God's forgiveness is of no use to you if you won't forgive yourself.

Say to yourself, "If God can forgive me, I can forgive myself. I'm only human. I'll always make mistakes as long as I live. And every time I make a mistake I'll ask God to forgive me, and I'll accept his forgiveness. I'll also forgive myself, and move on in life."

Whatever you have done, God is ready to forgive. Just go to him, and confess your sins, if you haven't done that already. Then accept his forgiveness, and believe that you are forgiven.

You MUST LIVE and enjoy the life God has prepared for you. God loves you. And that's all that matters.

We all have Satan in us. But it's time to kick him out. And the only one who can do this is Jesus Christ. Let him in and he'll take care of Satan.

People will always disappoint you because you always expect them to be what they cannot be. Just learn to love them as you love yourself. You are not perfect, still you love yourself. Love others in the same way.

Love people. Love everything about people. Don't discriminate between the good and the bad. Love as God loves. And God loves both the good and the bad.

Celebrate people today. Celebrate those in your life. Delight in their presence. Appreciate everything that they do. Honour them as children of God. And love them as you would love yourself. Life is short. It can end any time. But before it ends celebrate the people in your life. And give thanks to God for them.

What about today? What about this moment? Don't let it slip away because you are troubled about tomorrow. Submit your fear of tomorrow to God. Submit all your tomorrows to God, and let them rest there in his capable hands. Trust in him to do good in your life. Believe that he wants the best for you always. And what he wants from you now is to rest without worry, and enjoy this moment in your life. It will not come again.

Worry is the enemy of faith. When we worry we reveal our lack of faith. God puts us in situations that demand our trust. In such situations we can choose to worry and despair. But if we choose to worry we should ask ourselves the question: what does worry achieve for us? Does it save us, or make the situation more tolerable? We will find out that worry achieves nothing. It does not improve our situation. It makes it even worse, for we feel miserable about our plight. When this happens, we will not look to God. We will look away from him to something else, which can never save us.

Worry is a waste of time and God-given energy. If we fail to enjoy life today because we are worried about what might happen tomorrow, then we waste a precious opportunity to glorify God and do good in this life. We also show God that we don't trust him to take care of us tomorrow.

If you trust in God, don't worry about tomorrow. Let tomorrow rest securely in his hands. Focus on today, and what you can do right now. This very moment you can give thanks to God by enjoying your life, and helping others enjoy their lives as well. Will you smile today in joy? Will you be grateful for life today?

When I am focused on tomorrow I fail to enjoy today. Let tomorrow rest with God. Today enjoy every good thing that you can find in life.

Enjoy this day as it comes. Be happy about what you have, and don't be bothered by what you don't have. Be happy to be where you are. For God is near you, and he will keep walking with you.

When you know you are with God, learn to look away from what oppresses you, and try to smile. Ask God to fill you with hope and joy. And then your smile will appear.

Don't make promises that you can't keep. You can never stop doing wrong until God gives your the grace to stop. Wait until then.

We will always make mistakes as long as we are human. So it is wise on our part to tolerate our mistakes and learn from them whenever possible.

God already knows you and he loves you. You can do nothing to change that. What you should do is to accept his love and be happy about it. And then you should share your thoughts and feelings with him. And a relationship with God will begin.

Anything that leads you to God is a blessing.

Spell out even painfully your expectations. Declare them as truth even if they should look utterly improbable. As light came to dispel a huge darkness your hope will eventually dismantle the barriers that seem impregnable.

A smile is the best ornament that you can wear.

I wish that my road was smooth. But it is not smooth. I wish that my head was clean. But it is not clean. I wish that my heart was pure. But it is not pure. But I have to deal with the conflict that I feel in all these places. For that is the nature of my calling.

The work of Jesus Christ on the cross is finished as far as his involvement is concerned. But there is more that needs to be done. Human beings are not saved by not involving themselves in the act of salvation. They must involve themselves. And the involvement starts with belief. And when we believe, God works in us, God comes and lives in us and transforms us into the people that he wants us to be.

One cannot stop with saying that the Bible is simply a message from God that says, “I love you”. The message is both a reassurance and a warning. Human beings are reassured that God saved them. God saved them by dying on the cross. That’s the reassurance. And then there is a warning. You may call it a warning because there is a response expected of human beings. And this is that response. Humans need to believe in what God did on the cross. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came down to earth and died for all human beings. What he did is something that we must believe in. We must believe in his sacrificial act. And we must believe that it is enough. It is enough to cancel all our sins. And when we do so the Holy Spirit comes and lives in us. He give us a new spiritual life. We become children of God. And we live the life that children of God live. We are empowered to live that life.

Cast away your little-mindedness and put on the love that accepts all people, especially those whom you naturally dislike and distrust. In this alone are strength and salvation. And this is the love of Christ.

Do you like to be mastered or do you like to be the master? It is a personal choice. Those who chose to be the master of their lives should take care not to allow anyone or anything to take control of their lives. Those who like to be in control should ensure that nothing in their lives is so strong that it is beyond resistance. Everything must be brought under one's control. And every desire must be constantly reviewed and checked for its amenability to control. Such a task makes great demands, and may not be within the capability of many human beings. But with the exercise of the intellect and the awareness of the dangers some desires pose to the stability of the individual, a certain degree of mastery can be achieved in life. For this a thorough study of the heart is necessary. Every desire must be completely revealed in its nakedness and analysed to the point of finding out its bare essentials. Thus every desire can be tamed into the state of being controllable. For when we see clearly what really draws us, it loses its original appeal.

There are certain things we will resist. And there are other things we won't resist. There are certain things we won't allow. And there are other things we will allow. There are certain acts that we won't do publicly. And there are other acts that we will do privately. A life is a series of decisions. When we decide we consider what is best for us. We decide on what will bring us joy without invoking the displeasure of others. We live in constant awareness of what others think about us. And yet we want to live the way we secretly want to without being unfavourably noticed. This is a hard act in life. And those who do it well are most skilled. Yet it takes time to arrive at this skill. It takes a lot of consideration as well. But those who live life skilfully must also bear this in mind. Are they truly living their lives, or are their secret passions guiding their lives? Who is in charge eventually? This is what matters.

To be scared of getting lost when you are with God shows that you do not trust God to keep you protected. If a child feels that way about his parent it will be unusual behaviour, as most children feel secure when their parents are with them.

There are people who pray for things. I too have prayed for things. But these days I have learned to ask God for the desire to know him. I need to be attracted to God all the time. All love springs from an original attraction. And this is what I need to feel every day. And as long as the attraction is there, my heart will follow God. And when I follow him every good thing will follow me.

As a boy I was seized by a sudden desire to see Jesus Christ after I saw him as a raging train of fire in my dream. All that morning I repeated frenziedly, "I want to see Jesus. I want to see him now." This was followed by many years in the wilderness, and the desire to see Jesus was not even in my memory. But now in the last eight years of my work, that desire has surfaced again, and is moving me every day to do what I am doing. And I believe I am doing this just to see God, as I wanted to very early in life.

I said to God. "It is you that I wish to see. I don't want to see ghosts and demons. Seeing them may confirm the existence of the spiritual world. But seeing you is what will make me whole. So please let nothing appear before me except you."

Look for God. Don't look for Mars or Jupiter or any other celestial body with the longing that you should reserve only for God. The creations are beautiful. But let them not distract you from the Creator. It is he that you should long to see and experience.

Don't give place for any hard feelings. Let one thing alone guide you. Let it be love.

It is better to be honestly weak than dishonestly strong. When a man confesses his weakness he openly acknowledges his need of God.

You'll never wander very far when God is near you.

Sayings of Samuel Godfrey George - August 2015, Part 3

Look closely at what tempts you with God at your side. Don't walk away in fear. You will learn something valuable about yourself. Face the temptation, and don't be downcast if you fall into it. Study yourself through the pain and failure and consider what it is that has such a hold over you. When you see it hand it over to God, and ask for his supernatural strength. Ask him to hold you even as you totter and stagger in weakness. The temptation will diminish in strength in God's timing. But you must stand where you are and face it.

Thank you Jesus for everything that came, that is coming, and that will come.

I connect with you so that I may convey a blessing to you. If I connect with you to bless myself I have not connected meaningfully.

Say thanks for everything that you can still do. Pray about everything that you still cannot do. Leave the rest to God. And rejoice in his faithfulness.

Do everything gratefully today and you would have done everything required of you.

The mind that seeks to correct another person without showing love is not motivated by God.

When you do something without hurry, you will learn more about what you do and will be able to do it more effectively.

Believe this. Anything and everything can be corrected with love. Love is what God shows to transform us into his own image. He corrects us only in love, and is very patient with us, even as we struggle to learn. Some of us may not even want to learn. But God is amazingly patient towards us and he gradually helps us recognize what we need to change. Then he also gives us the supernatural grace to overcome what we could have never done without him.

Take the edge out of your voice when you rebuke someone today. Whatever the mistake, correct someone with love, just as God corrects you. Let your words and deeds help a person grow rather than give that person a feeling of hopeless inadequacy.

A strong mind is one that can ignore the weak irritants.

Don't do it in a hurry. You won't be able to savour the thing you do.

Be grateful for everything, even a little thing.

Don't overdo even a good thing.

To believe in God means to believe in love.

The church is the body of those who believe in God and his son Jesus Christ and his Spirit, with Jesus himself as the head and we the people as the various parts of that body. The church may have divisions. But all divisions are contained within a single body.

God wants people to be saved. As a servant of God I want what God wants.

God can be found anywhere and everywhere. He can be found in places where you did not even suspect he lived. Most of all he can be found near you. And if you should desire to know him, he will be very happy to give you that knowledge. However, knowing God is neither instantaneous nor predictable. The experience of knowing God is many layered, and enlightenment comes after much confusion. Human understanding is a great barrier. But if you persist doggedly you may get to know a little bit of him.

We search for God only when we find what is in us. And when we are revolted by what we see in us we search for all that is not in us. And God is that person who is nothing like us. We can begin by reading about him in the Bible. But it is only a beginning. We will have to live with him to know him. And when we desire to live with him, he will come to live in us.

To seek God is to seek what validates you. We humans have no purpose in life until we find it in God. And this is the purpose. We were made to be loved by God. We must get into that position where we will receive the love of God. For this we must strip away everything that hinders the search for God.

You are a human being, worthy of respect and attention. For this reason alone it is good to meet you. I hope that you are also a child of God. You are made in his image. And I hope you are seeking him. This is a greater reason to welcome you.

To give, the only motivation required is to know that one has received. We give because we have received. We give in gratitude for what we have received. We should not give to receive even more. The one who gives will always receive. He does not even have to try.

It is after I make the biggest mistakes I am most wise.

It is said that our boast must only be in God. I would say it is better not to boast. For to boast will send the wrong signals to the one without God. It is best to be happy in the humblest way. God is with us and we did nothing to deserve him. Let our happiness reflect that.

Have a low opinion of yourself and what you can do without God. Only then will you find God working through you.

If you can love yourself after knowing yourself you have learned to love like God.

Love yourself first. Only then can you love others.

Celebrate who you are. Others may be reluctant to do it.

A great mind is one that has learned to appreciate little things.

If you find it hard to respect someone who loves you, then respect love. For it is the most precious thing on earth, and then think. Anyone who can give away such a precious thing must be precious too. And then you can begin to appreciate the giver of love and respect will follow.

Accept love even from someone you cannot respect. For love is the most precious thing and cannot be bought. It must be had at any cost from any source.

Don't discard love even when you find it in places that do not please. Love is hard to get, and when you get it don't let it go.

If God loves the world so much, then he must love everyone in the world, regardless of the person's race, nationality, religion and creed. This is why I believe that God looks at all of us in the same way. The way he looks at a believer is essentially the same as the way he looks at a non-believer. He looks at both with the same love. Nevertheless unbelief in God has certain consequences just as belief in God has consequences. The one who believes has chosen to belong to God. The one who does not believe has chosen to be apart from God. So those who will go to heaven and hell ultimately do so by the act of their own freewill.

Don't call me "son" and fail to act like my mother. Don't call me " a great prophet" and fail to give me your immediate attention.

To desire Light one should walk in darkness. To desire health one should endure sickness. To attain the pure, one should taste the impure. One should ask for black so that one may appreciate white. One should lust for that which is not sacred so that one may long for that which is sacred.

All misspent energy is misbegotten. The instinct to love comes from God. As He is holy, His instinct is also holy. Every act of love is an exercise of holiness. And this I will bear in mind as I give to and receive from others. My energy will be begotten of God. My desire will emerge from His heart. My embrace will be holy and my kiss will be chaste. My desire will be legal, and my love will give without the intent to receive.

May the Light that shines in us dispel the darkness that surrounds us.

You know your Lord. He lives in you. His beauty shines through you. Your thoughts, your words and your love testify to this.

We know and love Christ. And Christ loves us. We know this because the thought of Christ brings us joy. And if Christ loves us, He surely understands us. Though we fall short of His glory, He justifies us in the sight of God. The purpose of Christ is to reveal God's love to Man. His desire is not to condemn but to justify. His intent is not to abandon the lost child, but to seek and return him to the Father.

Be careful when you walk on rocks. Be careful when you take something delicate on a rock. You may drop it and break it. Be very careful when you walk through life. You are fragile. You need help. You need the comfort of a discerning friend. May you find that discerning friend today. If your heart is aching today, may you find that person who will calm you, and who will let your fears be blown away, and who will fill you with confidence and with the strength to go on, and who will assure you of love - not only the love of Man, but also the love of God. May you meet that person today. May you be happy today.

Instead of dreading the worst, hope for the best as far as God is concerned. He is good and wishes to do only good. And he has a good plan for all his children. His plan cannot harm for it can only do good. Trust in him and all will be well, no matter how dreadful it looks now.

If God answers all prayers quickly and affirmatively, he will not ask us to wait and trust in his goodness. Ultimately we must give God the right to act any way he chooses any time he wants. We believe that he will act in our best interest, and even if this is not apparent as we wait on him to answer our prayers, we must hold on to this belief tenaciously. Even in times of great darkness, when God appears discouragingly silent and uninterested, we must trust in his goodness and affirm it joyfully. And if we maintain this attitude we can be confident that God will act suddenly and decisively in the manner that is most advantageous to us.

God wants us to trust him for it is not easy to cast our cares on him and simply wait for him to act. He usually takes time, and this can be quite nerve-wracking, as I have found out myself on a few occasions. But if we are to know God's goodness, we need to trust him. And we cannot trust him without going all the way. And sometimes the way to God seems utterly perilous. And you will have fears for your own safety, as you abandon yourself to God. But going through this terrible ordeal is essential to verifying the strength of your determination to believe in God's promises, and this is the way you yourself know how firm your trust in God is. Ultimately as a writer put it, God will never fail us, though he will surely scare us to death a few times.

And so this work goes on as precariously as my life. I have no intrinsic goodness or holiness or perfectness to carry on a task for God. I'm just a human who has been sanctified by God by the spilling of His Son's blood on the cross. I have fallen so many times during these last seven years of service to God, and embarrassing as this is, it is uplifting to note that I have always risen and walked in a strength that could not be mine. For I still speak, still write, still hope, and still desire a place in God's world, doing God's work. And this seems to me to be no ordinary thing.

He who gave up his own son for us, he who bore our sins on his shoulders, and suffered terribly for us, will he be deterred by our man-made religious distinctions? I don't think so. He has risked so much that denominational and doctrinal differences will not pose him any trouble in finding the heart that truly seeks his grace. This is my final message. God loves you and he will have you if you let him. This is the essence of my work for God. May God be with me as I do his work and grant me the grace to do it.

I believe that God looks at the heart and not at denominations and doctrines that divide us. Ultimately everyone who accepts Jesus Christ is God's child, and no man-made distinction is ever going to change that. I accepted Jesus Christ. He is the way to God for a simple reason. Without him we will have an incomplete picture of God. The Old Testament on its own cannot bring out the essential nature of God. And that is love. His love supersedes everything. His justice which looms large in the eyes of doomsday prophets is satisfied by his supreme act of love, his own death on the cross, when he came down to earth as Jesus Christ. I believe this to be true. God looks at the heart in which Jesus resides as master. Everything else is not important.

God will not let your good work stop. This is my hope. He has seen your struggles, and answered your prayers.

Any good thing is possible today because our God is good, and he loves to do good. So expect God to do good in your life today. Expect him to do even better than that. Expect him to surprise you. Expect him to delight you. Expect him to give you what you long for. Just expect him to show up today like you've never seen him before.

What one sees now is only what one has been allowed to see.

I do not work for humanity. I work for God. And as far as he takes me forward, I shall gladly go.

I study the Bible. I read Christian authors. I read experts on religion. I even read the atheists. I speak for God. I speak and write about my own experiences. I try to enthuse others about God. I do little else.

"What am I doing with my life?", I have often wondered. Am I frittering my life away pursuing an imaginary goal set by an imaginary god? Or am I truly following the voice of the living God? I try to speak for God and about God as well as I know him. I want to be as honest as possible about my knowledge and experience of God, so that I am not unworthy of my calling. But do I really succeed? Is my message really heard? Is anyone really benefited and guided to God through my voice? These questions are being answered even know as I speak.

Many of us are addicted to the flesh. So don't be alarmed by it if you are an addict. I know the feeling too well. It seems that the more we are drawn to God the more we are also drawn to the flesh. The conflict does seem hellish. But we need to trust in God, who will not let us go through this suffering if it will not ultimately benefit us. But this is the starting point. Don't be afraid. Don't lose heart. He holds us firmly in His grip, whether we believe in it or not. He will not let us slip beyond retrieval. And whatever we've done we can never shock Him.

The spokespersons of Satan believe that they speak the truth. They may even believe that they speak for God.

There is no manual to show you how to approach God. Just believe that there is a God, and that he wants the best for you. Speak to him and ask him to reveal his thoughts to you. Ask him to reveal his plan for you. And wait as long as it takes for him to show that to you. When he shows you, you will surely know. And when he tells you to act you will surely act.

When others realize their dreams rejoice in that. Your dreams will also bring you joy someday when they are realized. But let your dreams be the ones God wants you to have.

Let your dreams be the ones God wants you to have. Then you will not only realize them, you will also not be disappointed with them.

It doesn't matter what size of a player you are. Just play for God. And be happy that you can play for him.

I have no longer any dreams of my own. My dreams have merged with those of God utterly.

Be happy to be where you are right now. You will not be here again.

What we need to see most is the smiling face of God. The God of the Bible seems to wear a frown most of the time. It is difficult to like a God who frowns. It is more difficult to love a God whom you fear. If people spend most of their time worrying about how God must disapprove of them, there is little likelihood of their ever loving him To love God then you must feel no fear. Respect God but do not be terrified of him. He is your friend, the very best friend you will ever have. Is it sensible to be afraid of your very best friend?

From a distance everything looks different from how it really is. You will have to go close and examine everything in detail to know what it really is. And when you know something well, you can safely accept or reject it.

You will be well with God no matter what happens. Remember that. For God is with you.

Praise God at all times. Praise God even when darkness surrounds, and the devil seems to have you in his grip. Praise God even as you succumb to a repetitive sin. Praise God even as you lie in shame after the sinful act. Praise God even as you rise from this fall. Praise God because he is still at work. He will not leave you or forsake you. So as you fall and rise repeatedly believe in a God who has already won a victory for you. Believe in this victory, which is yours by faith. Believe first, and the experience of victory will follow. He will complete his good work in you. And you will know it when it is done. Till then praise God.

Repetitive sin, as long as it is not a deliberate revolt against God is an outcome of a bondage to sin. Jesus Christ not only understands those who are struggling with sin in this way, but he also gradually frees them from such bondage, if only they will allow him to work in their lives.

God forgives every sin except one: the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. What a person must do is to confess his or her sins honestly and humbly. And he must receive the forgiveness of God by faith. God is ready to forgive those who confess their sins. One more thing a person must do is to forgive everyone who has hurt him or her, as the Bible makes it clear that there can be no forgiveness from God if we fail to forgive those who have hurt us.

Jesus is here because the Spirit of Jesus is here. The Spirit of Jesus lives in every believer testifying to the Son of God and revealing the Way, the Truth and the Life. The apostle Paul declared that Christ lives in him and in every believer. This is the the Jesus Christ who is now living in every one of us revealing his gracious love through us. This is the Jesus who demands our attention today.

"Don't worry. Trust in God. He will provide." This may sound like hopeless theory to the one who is in dire need. But it is this theory that will lead you to victory in the end. Trusting God is hard work. But it pays.

What we think we want may not be what God wants for us. What we think God must do may not be what God wants to do. When we submit to God and ask for his will to be done, we also surrender our will to him, and say, "God, I trust you with this. Whatever you do about this, even if I don't agree with it, will be ultimately good for me."

You must learn to wait. I have waited many months for some prayers to be answered. First you must submit your request to God. Furthermore submit your life to God, and entrust it in his hands. Believe that he has a good plan for you, and that he will most certainly carry it our, if you will place your trust in him.

God can help you any way he chooses to. He knows how to provide. Just trust in him, and wait.

A sin is a sin. Even a little sin can stand in your way. But the Lord Jesus Christ has erased all your sins away. Just accept his forgiveness and desire his mastery over you. Ask him to be the lord of your life. Your sins will certainly be behind you though you may sin every day in your life. As long as we remain in the flesh we will not be able to stop sinning.

Will God give you a second chance? Yes he will. But first go to God and confess your mistakes. Admit your inability to do anything without God. Seek his wisdom and wait for him to guide you. When he gives you a second chance, you will have to do it with God. You must let God guide you as you attempt to repair the damage that you inflicted earlier. But beware, not every damage can be repaired.

Instead of looking at a Jesus who is coming, look at a Jesus who is already here. And submit to him now and let him do his will in you. There is a Jesus Christ among us right now, whom we cannot ignore, even as some of us are making frantic attempts to get ready for a Jesus, whose coming at a time no one even knows. Jesus is already here. We should be ready now.

Sayings of Samuel Godfrey George - August 2015, Part 2

What is the advantage in knowing that an asteroid will strike the earth on a specific day? How do you hope to profit from knowing that? You may not live to see that day. Some people you know may not live to see that day. How do you hope to reform yourself before that day? How do you think that you can turn to God with a genuinely repentant heart before that day? What sort of a reformation except a cosmetic one can take place in such circumstances? We turn to God not because of the danger of mass destruction. We turn to God because there is nowhere else to turn. We turn to him, because there is no lasting joy or peace without him. We turn to him because we need his love. We turn to him so that he may show us how to love ourselves and others. Let us ask God to give us the grace to turn to him today, because this may well be the last day for some of us in this world, whether an asteroid strikes the earth or not.

May I live this day as if it were my last. May I take the opportunity to offer a smile to the one who
needs it, and my voice to the one who is willing to hear it.

After years of blissful living in a world of my own, I recently felt the urge to walk out into the larger world. What is my purpose in doing so apart from exposing the fact that I rejoice in doing what I do? I have been brought out of obscurity and given a desire to celebrate the spoken word and the expressed thought, and above all to honour the Giver of all things, who has made me His own. This is the task that I shall attend to.

Can I love you without holding on to you? Can I relish you without tasting you? Can I have you without taking you? If I give to you without expecting to receive, undisturbed by physical need and uninterrupted by the inconstancy of feeling there will be much strength in that. Our love will last; our joy will not fade away. We shall love without fear and without end. And thus we shall continue to bless.

“Behold the lamb that takes away the sins of the world.” What does this statement mean? Who is the lamb? What are the sins of the world? And how will the lamb take away the sins of the world? The lamb is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The sins of the world are the sins of the many generations of man and the fruits of the original sin, the disobedience of our first parents, Adam and Eve. Jesus Christ, the lamb is the only one qualified to take away the sins of the world, as he is the only sinless man that ever lived in this world. And only a man without sin can take away the sins of the world.

You may not be clay, yet you may be moulded not by me, but by greater hands than mine, those of my Lord Christ. Surrender to His mastery, and He shall make you dazzle with His light.

Do not try. Let God live in you. You cannot earn God's approval. I have learned that the hard way. All that I had is nothing. It is by God's grace that I have something now. Apart from Christ, I can do nothing. I have struggled so much. I have borne love in my heart. But I cannot express it without Christ who put the love inside me in the first place. So I have learned to give up the notion of trying. I just do it as He gives me the will to do it, believing that it is through Him I can find my best expression.

How do I know God loves you? I can feel His love for you in my heart.

God loves you. And there is no question of that.

I have been given the experience of pain, and that has produced much learning.

You are lonely in your nobility. I identify with that. But I am not disturbed by that. The day will come when we won't be lonely any more.

Child of God, you are most beautiful. You have a beautiful mind. Express your beauty despite the ugliness of what surrounds you. The only way you will be able to do that is to receive the love of God that is being poured out for you.

You are a beautiful child of God, created for a divine purpose. God has a purpose for you, and he will help you find it. Pay no attention to what the world says about you in disdain. Remember what your Heavenly Father says about you. He says he has a good plan for you and that he wants you to succeed. Will you believe in him today?

Love changes everything. Violence does not.

Do what you are enabled to do, with love and with sympathy for the weaknesses of others.

Cast your cares on your Lord. Only He can lead you to sanity. Forget the past. Discard the bitterness of it. Not with earthly weapons. But with heavenly means through prayer and obedience.

Forgive as many times as necessary. There is no limit to forgiveness.

No, my child. You and I and the rest of the world are forgiven by God though we do not merit this forgiveness. So we who have received this gracious pardon must also graciously forgive those who do not deserve our mercy.

Why can you not forgive? Should forgiveness be merited? Did you not receive forgiveness from God without meriting it? Then why should you not forgive someone else even when he or she does not deserve to be forgiven?

Wait patiently my child. Your story is still in progress.

The world as we know will certainly decay and die. And those who belong to God will not perish with it. You and I and many others are together. Let us not be afraid. Those who are with us are more than those who are against us.

Don't give up. Let your faith come from above. Then it will not be vanquished. This world will not help you believe. But you must believe despite the terrible compulsion to disbelieve.

God is good. He is never wrong. This world is corrupt. Its ways are perverted. But you and I will be the salt of this world.

There is no fear in love. So love without fear.

You are being tested and refined. I am too. I also share your fear. But do not submit to this fear. He who began will complete.

You have done much on your own. So you have failed. So you are disappointed. Do it through Christ. Let Him do it in you. You may fail. Yet you will not be disappointed.

There is a simple explanation for complex behaviour. The complex man conceals his simple motivation. He abhors the simple, as he will not be perceived as simple. The complex man puts on his complex garb and parades the distortion of his essentially unimpressive simplicity.

I am confused too. But we will come out of this confusion. I love you though I haven't seen you. I love you not because I want something from you. I love you because I want to give something to you. This is the love of Christ. Go to Him beautiful child. Others will plunder you. He will add to you.

As a man separated from God I doubt. As a man united with God I believe.

I doubt because I am a man.

Go to God. Why will you not accept His love? No one will ever love you more. Why do we seek love in all the wrong places? I once wrote of Christ, "You are the beauty that I so desire. In you is the end of all my search."

Go to your God. Discard your knowledge. Seek His wisdom.

Help us forgive one another as you have graciously forgiven us. Soften our hard hearts, mellow our defiant spirits O God. Give us strength in times of trouble and help us resist temptation. Deliver us from evil: the evil in heaven and the evil on earth. O God you are our only hope. You are my only hope. Let everyone who calls out to you today be saved. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

I pray for myself and for all your children. Be our King O Lord. Let your will be done in our lives. Please reign on earth as you reign in heaven. Be kind to your children today O Lord. Supply our needs. We need you first. We need your Spirit. We need your love, your joy and your peace. Grant us our everyday needs. And give us your precious health. I pray for those who are specially needy and those who are extremely sick. I pray for all who call out to you. May you hear the cries of your people.

Lord, you are my Creator. I cannot live without you. My life comes from you. Thank you for keeping me alive. Thank you for keeping the world alive. Thank you for all that you have created in your love. I do not understand your ways. I do not even walk according to your ways. Forgive me Lord for my many sins. Despite my imperfections I believe that I am a child of God and that I have the mind of Jesus Christ. Thank you for giving me the Holy Spirit. I believe that I cannot pray to you without your Spirit stirring in me first.

Jesus Christ is the only solution to the problem of human sin. He is the solution provided by God Himself. Christ is the Lamb of God, the only perfect human sacrifice for the sins of all human beings. According to God, only the sacrifice of a perfect human being for his fellow human beings will atone for the sins of his fellow men. Since no such person could be found on earth, that perfect human had to come down from heaven. Jesus was that perfect human being. When He died a terrible death on the cross, He was sacrificed once and for all for all human beings.

At times my life appears terrible and defies reparation. But I know with God all things are possible to me. I cling to the hope that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I pray for my improvement all the time.

The way of love does not end in condemnation, but in acceptance of what is difficult to accept.

We who are imperfect ourselves should not demand perfection from others. We should learn to excuse others as we excuse ourselves.

Rigidity could be our undoing. Let us learn to be flexible. Let us learn to accept others just as we find them. Let us be at peace with differences. Let us love without condemning others. This is our first service to humanity, the crown of God’s creations.

I welcome everyone who runs away from me, just like God welcomes me every time I run away from him.

Jesus Christ died on the cross for you so that he may save you from an endless torment. He did this because he loved you. Now you must respond to this with joyful gratitude. Don’t spend the rest of your life focused on sins that have been paid for already. Don’t be hard on yourself for the mistakes that you will always make. Instead look at Jesus, the best friend you’ll ever have. And learn from him. He will show you how to live, and how to be a blessing to others. Will you do that today, child of God?

Don’t feel guilty when you enjoy life. Life is meant to be enjoyed. God wants you to enjoy your life. And he wants you to help others enjoy it as well.

Savour the good things quietly. Savour them well. For life is swift and you must do everything in your power to relish the moment before it slips away.

God has answered the most important prayers. This is my impression after many years of praying. The curious thing is this. God answered prayers, which I could not even say. He gave me good parents. He gave me wonderful aunts. He responded to my wish to be his servant. He gave me a voice and a desire to speak. He gave me a computer and showed me how to use it. He gave me a camera and a message to speak. He showed me how to serve him in trouble trusting only in him. And even now as I repeat certain prayers painfully, I suspect he is answering some I haven’t even thought of saying.

You are commanded to love everyone and not just whom you like. You are commanded to love like Jesus. So please don’t pick and choose the people you love today.

There is only one thing that matters today. We need to love one another despite our many irreconcilable differences.

Let fear not be your excuse for not extending love to someone today. Love without fear, knowing that it is God who reaches out to someone every time you choose to love.

God provides in his time. Not in our time, at least not always. In my life there were times when God answered prayers quickly. There were other times when God took a long time to answer a prayer. There were times when I thought God would not answer my prayer. Still God answers every prayer swiftly every time. The answer is not always what we expect. So we think he has not answered. But he has. In many cases, he may ask us to wait for a while. We should hear his voice and be willing to wait. I waited three months for my computer. I waited almost the same time for my air conditioner. I waited nearly a year for a word processing programme, but I prayed specifically for it only last week, and it was granted to me yesterday. God answers prayers. And he is faithful. I know this because I waited.

There was a time in my life when I preferred complexity. Complex sentences, long circuitous expressions and strange words captured me. Now all that I seek is the very minimum of expression, in the most direct manner with the most familiar vocabulary. I now desire simplicity. And I believe I am communicating more efficiently as a result.

Love is giving. And when you give you will receive.

We learn from every thing, even from negative and harmful things. We learn even from deception. But such learning comes late.

If actions speak louder than words, inaction speaks louder than action.

Ask yourself today before you deny someone's request. Is this God or your fear speaking to you today?

This is my prayer today. Let me not be so busy that I do not notice the poor neglected one staring at me.

Don't be so busy with reaching out to the world that you do not notice the one who touched the hem of your robe. Even the God you worship notices every sparrow that falls.

Learn from God alone. We speak what we hear. And it is he who spoke first to us.

Be happy today. Enjoy this day. God is with you.

Many of us are hurting. We need to put our trust in God, who has told us not to let our hearts be troubled. Listen to God today. Put away your hurt. His love is much bigger than any hurt.

You are hurting because you need God. And the good news is this. God is near, and you should receive his love today. Then the feeling of hurt will decrease.

Run from sexual sin. Run like Joseph even if you have to run naked. He ran and yet spent many years in jail for an attempted rape that he didn't even attempt. On a superficial level his running hardly helped him in any way. In fact it incriminated him and placed him in a very poor light. Yet from God's perspective his running proved his obedience to divine laws regarding human sexual behaviour. And it is God's perspective that truly matters. For we are God's creations, and no matter how smart we are, and how hopeless and cowardly running from sexual sin may seem to us, it may be the only thing that saves a fragile human in the end. For sexual desire is bigger than human resistance.

Don't be curious about my age and my country of origin or anything like that. Be curious about what God is doing in me. God and I are not similar personalities. There was a time when I hated God and despised his people. Even now there are times when I wonder whether I like God and his people. Yet God works in me. I choose to work for God. There is no other employer I care to work for. There is something to be curious about this.

A great mistake I made in my life was that I did not honour my parents for a long time. I wasn't proud of them and didn't want to be seen with them. I was particularly ashamed of my father, and didn't introduce him to my friends. It was only much later when I learned about God and started to live under his shadow that I knew the value of my parents. I was blessed to be able to meet my father just before his death, and I was led by an invisible force to apologize to him for the years of disrespect and disregard. It was purely an inspiration of God because what I said that day to my father came out of a place in me that I didn't even know was there. I also asked my father to bless me, for no son can live well without his father's blessings. After my father passed away I have had the great pleasure of having my mother in my home for the last eleven years. I have tried in God's strength to show my love and respect for her. But I have not always succeeded. In fact I have failed many times. But I have not forgotten her importance and the value that she adds to my life. God is with me and strives in me to produce his image in my heart. And as long as that goes on I have more than a hope of being what he wants me to be.

Before we love the people in the world, let's love those at home. These are usually the people we find difficult to love and respect. Let's begin with our parents. They may have made mistakes. But let's acknowledge this. Without them there will be no us. Let's love and honour them the way God enables us to. We should seek the help of God in this. Not all of us know how to honour our parents. Only God can teach us. And then let's love our brothers and sisters and learn to get along with them. Let's not try to teach anyone anything. Let's share God by sharing his love with them. Let's love them like that always, despite everything that comes in our way. And that will be enough.

Nothing is as important as our feeling grateful for what we are and what we've been given. We should not only show joy in acknowledging these, we should also seek the one who gave us these gifts. We must desire to worship him and love him and make him the centre of our lives. And we must share our joy in him with others, so that they may also know about him and what he has done for them.

We must speak the language of love primarily. Every other human language is secondary.

Everything I do is for God and by God. Nothing is for me and by me. At least this is my principle, and may it be a reality in my life.

Say to yourself, "I am on the road to improvement. God is working in me. He has a good plan for me and I shall see it come to pass. He will take me where I need to go. And though problems may come to slow me down, I will not lose faith in God. I will trust him to complete his work in me. As God continues to work, I shall be joyously confident of the end result. I will enjoy this life that God gave me. And I will make others happy while I am enjoying it."

Don't feel sorry for yourself. You are a child of God. There is nothing pitiable about you.

If you have Jesus you have everything though you may have nothing. If you do not have Jesus you have nothing though you may have everything.

What does worry do for you? What does doubt achieve for you? This and only this - a state of misery. As long as you are miserable, you cannot rejoice. As long as you cannot rejoice, you cannot receive from God. St. Paul did not understate this when he said, "Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, rejoice."

Inaction reveals as much as action, if not even more.

A closer look sometimes changes everything.

Have a good day children of God. Smile as you should. Be thankful for all that you have, even if it is little. And be willing to share what you have.

Loving starts with giving and ends with emptying. And then it just stands back and smiles waiting to give more when it is ready.

Aim at stability and not at passion. A passionate admirer is less necessary than a stable friend.

To present God as purely love is not easy. For God is the one who created hell to torment forever the ones who turn away from him. No love in human terms can either accommodate or comprehend such a godly hatred. And God hates as fiercely as he loves. This is a truth you cannot escape from. God is love to all those who are ready to receive his love. And to all others God cannot be love.

Happy is the one who says, "This is enough for me." It is the desire for more that leads to pain. Be satisfied with who are you. Be happy with what you have. And share what you have with someone else.

When I teach others I teach myself.

Don't look for change when you are happy where you are. There is a joy in stability like none other.

Love your brother and sister today, without trying to teach them anything. Love as Christ loves them. Accept them as who they are and be at peace with that. Leave the transformation work with God. He know what to change, and when and how.

We wake up only when God wakes us up. We should not shout out God's message of love. We must learn to whisper it. And in God's time it will be heard.

Ananias and Sapphira will always point us to the danger of lying to God. Speak the truth even if it is most damning in your own sight. No honesty is ever despicable in God's sight.

You may discuss God the whole day. Or you may begin to practise love right now. One takes you nowhere. The other takes you directly to God.

The path to God is a life of love. It is not in church attendance, or Bible study or theological knowledge. None of these will lead you to God by themselves. It is love alone that will lead you to God. Yet to know the love of God you must study the Bible and attend a church and acquire a deep knowledge of God. And then you must put that love into practice with the help of God. Remember how Saint Paul estimated the worth of love. Love is the greatest gift God gives to Man.

You may speak all the Bible verses in the world and still not speak love. If you do so you will be nothing.

In the morning give your very best to God. Let your first thoughts belong to him. Let the first stirrings of your heart remain in him.

An honest sinner is better than a lying saint. Lying to people is one thing, lying to God is another. One is excusable. The other is damnable.

The first thing you must be with God is honest. An honest sinner is always welcome in heavenly courts.

I don't fit guidelines. Guidelines have to fit me. I speak from my heart. And where my heart is heard I will go.

Today I need to see a God of love, a God who forgives, a God who heals all wounds. I need to see a Father who will not stop waiting for his lost child. I need to see a Father who will not let his child perish. I need to see clearly that God is love more than anything else.

On this day at this hour eleven years ago B Ganesan, my father left this world. The names he should have taken were George Godfrey. The God he should have worshipped is the God of the Bible. But he chose to remain faithful to his own Hindu god and he kept his Hindu names. After his death I chose to take those names he did not take. I chose to worship the God he could not worship. I chose to serve a God who took my terrible burden away. He led me to my father just before his death to make peace with him. I submitted to the man whom I despised and hated, and honoured him with the grace that God suddenly gave me. I told him about God, my God Jehovah, and how the Lord inspired me to love him. My father heard about God at the very end of his life, but refused to turn away from his god, even at that moment. I hope that my father changed his mind in the moments before his death. It is because of this final reconciliation I can rest today, and feel good about my relationship with my father. I hope and pray that he is resting too.

I remember a man whom I hated nearly all my life. I remember someone who lived in my home, and was in another room, all the time I was there, and yet we seldom spoke anything cordial. I remember someone who took me to school by his bicycle and on the way back, bought me slices of water melon that I savoured under a hot sun. I remember a man whom I leaned against sadly while mourning the loss of my grandfather with tears. I remember a man whom I called by many names, but very rarely called him what I ought to have called him. I remember a man who wept when I lost my vision temporarily in one eye. I remember a man who belittled me, and even cursed me in his anger. I remember the anger and the resentment that his presence inspired. Still I also remember the man whom God pointed out to me on a certain day and showed me something that I needed to acknowledge. I remember falling at the feet of this man broken and repentant, asking him to forgive me for the years of disrespect and disregard. I remember kissing his feet in humility, and asking for his blessing a few days before he passed away. God made me aware that I couldn't go on without his blessing. And I remember how this man finally gave me his blessing. I remember my father today.

You are going to do what you are able to do as well as you can today, without looking here and there. And that is all God expects of you every day.

Go out there and get what you want. But before you do seek God's favour, and ask for his will to be done.

What you do is always less important than what you believe. And this is what you should believe. Your righteousness is in Jesus Christ, and nothing you ever do is going to be good enough to improve on what Christ has already done for you. Nothing that you accomplish is in fact your own accomplishment. Everything is because of God. When that is the case what you do is less significant than what you are by grace through faith. And this is what you are. You are a child of God by adoption. And this has nothing to do with what you have done. This has everything to do with who God is. And he is a father who will not let go.

You don't have to justify what God has accepted.

Does God give everything you desire, even if the thing you desire is harmful to you? I doubt that very much.

Remember this. God is in control of your life, even when everything seems out of control. God is taking care of you, even when the ground below you is shaking terribly. God is still working in you producing his image in you, even as you cannot imagine yourself to be anything like him. And remember this also. God will not stop working till he completes what he wants to do in you.

The best approach to life is to expect God to do something good every day. When you live like that you will see everything as a gift from God, and even though some things may not produce joy in you, they will still remind you that God is behind everything, and that even what seems hard and unfair will turn out to be something beneficial to you in the end. For God will cause everything, even the horrible thing, to work in your favour ultimately, if you would only suspend your doubt and believe.

Don't think too highly of yourself. You are a child of God but you are still his work from the beginning to the end. There is nothing about you that you have achieved on your own. Everything you have is a gracious gift. Knowing that be appreciative of everyone, even the one who has less than you. For the one who you think has less may have something to teach you, and you should be willing to learn from that person humbly, appreciating what God can do through that person.

To rejoice in this day means to do joyfully what God has enabled you to do today. Do what you can still do and do it like only you can do it. Don't worry about what you cannot do. That's not your problem.

Whatever you do today, don't try to hide your faults from God. For he knows them all. Just approach him humbly not concealing the tiniest mistake. He will accept you no matter what you have done. And he will love you like no one has ever done.

An honest sinner is always better than a pious hypocrite in God's eyes.

The computer that I dreamed of is sitting on a table before me responding to the strokes of my fingers and sending out messages into the world. An air conditioner that I badly needed is cooling my room behind me and letting me conduct my work in comfort. Both these gifts are from God and they arrived like miracles. Now every moment is an occasion to give thanks to God for his goodness. This is what I have discovered. You can experience the goodness of God if you are willing to wait.

The divine and the human in us make each of us two rather than one. The tension between the divine and the human is a result of conflict and not harmony. The misery of life is due to the suppression of the divine element by the human. One continues in the conflict in the hope that the divine will ultimately overcome the human. The hope is really a promise made by God through Christ.

There are lovers of Christ. They may not be Christians. A Christian is not necessarily a lover of Christ. There are Christians who do not know Christ. And there are Christians whom Christ does not know.

You can live with Christ, and still betray Him. Judas has proved that already. You can fraternise with Christ, and still be found wanting in faith and grace. The apostles have proved that. What made the same disappointing apostles the pillars of the Christian faith is the transforming work of the Spirit of Christ. It is not by might, nor by power but by His Spirit. And His Spirit does not transform everyone who claims to be Christian, simply because many claims are not true.

People, by virtue of being Christian, or of being baptised and confirmed, do not automatically put on a garb of Christ-likeness. Merely reading the Bible, or listening to a charismatic preacher does not transform a person into a practising Christian. People who follow the teachings of Christ are those who are in love with Christ to the extent that they do not value anything else. They are also people who understand the deep truth in the teaching of Christ and appreciate the importance of putting it into practice.

The compulsion to hate is as strong as, if not stronger than the compulsion to love. Every one of us would be ready to hate as long as one has something to hate. Yet the impulse to hate is reined in by obedience to Christ who commanded us to love our enemies, and to love our fellow men. But this obedience is impossible to achieve in human strength alone, and is a work of the Holy Spirit who resides in the believer.

I believe in a childhood dream. I believe that the fire that I saw raging across the black sky was the Lord God himself. I believe that the words of English that spontaneously issued from my Tamil lips, pledging servitude to the Lord (at a time when I barely spoke English and hardly grasped the concept of service), are the signs of a future servitude to Christ that involved this foreign language. I believe that the mad desire for the sight of Christ, which I soon felt afterwards, heralded the moment when his Spirit came to reside in me. And I believe that he has remained with me ever since, even when I denigrated and denounced him with the strongest expletives both in Tamil and English. And I believe that he still remains, even if I cuckold him continually in the arms of his enemy. The Lord will have his bride, even if she has been exceedingly violated.

Rest now in His love. Every blow is a kiss. In the pain lies a blessing. In the pain lies knowledge. The price of knowledge is pain. Let your knowledge increase your love. Love those who nail you to the cross. Love those who gaze at your pain silently. Love those ants and love those men that have caused you much stress. In love conquer them all.

Let us forget the ugliness of those who belong to the world, and let us focus on the beauty of those who are in Christ. We are in Christ and we share His beauty.

We will live in God, and we will live in love forever.

You are wise. And God dwells in you. May you continue to dwell in Him and celebrate your life in Him. May you continue to live in Christ, where no death can put an end to you. Live on. Even if death is at your door, live.

I'm not dead. I'm alive in Christ. I shall live and declare the work of the Lord. Satan would like me to believe that I'm dying. But I am in the Lord's hands. I move from darkness into light. The passage is not without difficulty. But the Lord will lead me through.

I stepped from darkness into light. For years I was bound by Satan in devotion to the flesh. Ten years ago I clearly heard the Lord telling me to step from darkness into His light. I took a few steps forward and many backward. Years passed. I loved my Lord yet slept with the devil. As a child I swore to serve my Lord, but as a man I took delight in serving the devil. The hellish joy was not destined to last. The Lord will have His bride despite the violation. He has come for me. And now I go to Him. May I walk into His hands soon. This is my brightest and most daunting hour.

The only blackness that I am concerned about is the blackness of the soul.

I am with you in spirit. I shall be present with you every day. I shall be at your side as you work in your garden or have a cup of coffee. You will find my voice merged with yours as you give praise and glory to God.

The origin of my problem is in the realm of the spirit. As I grow closer to the Lord, and die gradually but surely to the desires of the world, the tension arising from this progress and from the dark powers that oppose the Lord and His servants create a formidable environment at times. I am determined to fight the good fight. This divine command I will obey.

The distances that separate us do not matter. Our minds have met. And the affection that we feel for one another is divinely inspired. May it grow and bring glory to the Christ Who unifies us.

I never had a computer until I was 33. I never knew how to use a computer until I bought my notebook. Now three years later, after experimentation of a godly and an ungodly kind, I make my own videos and post them on the Internet. Though I'm not comfortable with publicity I've decided to share myself with the world. I believe it's time I let the world know what the Lord has done with me. The experience of doing that has been mostly delightful.

I'm a servant of the Lord God Jesus Christ, and I intend to live my life for Him. He is my Lord, my lover, my everything. He is the beauty that I sought in all the wrong places. And in Him is the end of all my search.

As a teenager, I read "War and Peace" by Leo Tolstoy, and believed I could not read a better book ever. And then one day I picked up a copy of "The Student Bible" published by Zondervan, and started reading it systematically. I found the presentation very attractive (it was presented in a manner that would appeal to young people). The New International Version made an ancient narrative most relevant. After reading a few books in the New Testament, I turned my attention to the Old Testament. And then I fell in love with the mightiest lover I've ever known, one called God the Father. The Old Testament, the story of Yahweh's frustrated love for a rebellious nation, is not only the greatest I've ever read but also the most heart rending. That such a spurned lover could continue to love His rebellious children to such an extent that He was willing to sacrifice His own Son to save their souls won me a million times over. God the Father is not only the greatest lover but also the greatest hero. He is my hero, my God, my lover, my sweetheart and the ruler of my soul. His Son, the Lord Jesus, is the gateway to the God of my heart. His Spirit is what compels me to move towards that gateway.

Christ is the essence of all beauty and truth. Christ is the ultimate wealth a man can possess. How can I prove these statements to a man of the world? The proof for these statements lies deep within my agonised soul.

I think it would not be difficult for me to be a man of the world, and speak the language of the world. Yet I am constrained by an invisible force that makes me speak a language that this world does not understand.

The knowledge I have gained is a result of the most agonising wandering in the ugliest of places. I have been let loose into this world, and have strayed too far, and lost so much in doing that. And the Lord has rewarded me with the knowledge that the world does not love. Sometimes in my painful journey to truth, I have cried out in pain, and pleaded with the Lord to let me go. But He would not, and I thank Him for it. He is always right, even when I think He's wrong.

Should we be conventional Christians to love Christ? Should we be Christians to love Christ? Is the conventional Christian the only follower of Christ? When two minds are drawn to each other, and when Christ is glorified in that union of minds, how can those minds not belong to Him? We love Christ, that is all that matters.

I realise that God has planned everything in my life lovingly. The night is the preparation for the day. The disappointment will sweeten the coming joy. The meaninglessness will add meaning to the meaningful.

God is great. He restores what we think is irreparable. So take you broken things to God and know that he will put them together.

Whatever we've done, we can never shock God. Let us approach him boldly today in the knowledge that he will not condemn us for our wrongdoings, but will accept us as his own.

There is nothing to be sorry for when you speak the truth.

Don't be upset today. Bear with the offender. If you can, say a prayer for that person.

No one wants to be wrong in this world. Everyone wants to be right. So every religion wants to be the true one. When such things happen clashes will inevitably occur. And that is why religions instead of uniting people are dividing them. But if the people of the world learn to live in tolerance and compassion, understanding and even appreciating differences, even religious differences, then there is hope for this world.

This is the hardest question to answer. Many people have turned away from God for this reason alone. But here is an explanation, which you may not be aware of. The world is as it is not because of God's choices, but because of Man's. You might be wondering what I'm talking about. In the Judeo-Christian theology (i.e.. the knowledge of God shared by Jews and Christians) it is believed that God gave the first man Adam the freedom to do whatever he wanted in a beautiful land called the garden of Eden. However God warned Adam not to eat the fruit of a certain tree in the garden, called the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God warned him of the dire consequence that will follow such disobedience. If Man should eat the fruit of the tree he will surely die. By death, God did not only mean physical death, he also meant spiritual death, a separation from God himself. So to cut a long story short, Man did what God forbade him to do. Adam and his wife Eve ate the fruit and suffered the consequences of their disobedience. The ultimate consequence was death. And everything else, namely physical and mental disease, physical and mental corruption and deformity came along with death to speed it up.

I teach on the Internet. About life and God.

Original voice? I always speak with my own voice.

Go to God. And thank him for his love. And receive his forgiveness. And go on in your life in his strength. Be a blessing to others.

We all have little faith. Only God can give us more. Stop underestimating yourself. Believe that you are a child of God. If you are God's child, God is your father. Remember and declare that. "God is my father. And he will take care of me."

Worry can be from many sources. But worry shows your lack of faith in God. That is what you must address immediately. Pray to God and ask him to give you calm and resolute faith. Pray for faith. For faith cannot be humanly produced. It must come from above.

Give up the worry. And go with God.

Be happy about little things. Then your joy in life will be great.

You are worried because you don't believe in a forgiving God. You are worried because you want to condemn yourself. You refuse to believe that you can be forgiven because you want to punish yourself. If you turn into your own enemy, even God may not be able to save you. Remember this. All have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. Remember this also. God knows your weaknesses and sympathises with you. He is waiting to forgive you. The question that I put to you is this. Are you waiting to be forgiven? Are you willing to receive God's forgiveness?

You have to receive God's forgiveness by faith. Don't condemn yourself even after God forgives you. He will forgive you if you are willing to turn away from your sin. You must want to change. But you cannot change on your own. He will change you in his own way in his own time.

Life on earth was doomed for destruction the moment the first human disobeyed God. That event triggered God's irrevocable curse of death on all life on earth. Since that event disorder and degeneration have reigned in this world. So life on earth is riddled with imbalance and injustice. We who live have to live an unfair life. Yet let those who believe in God not imitate the unfairness of life, but let them imitate their God who alone is good and fair.

Say this to yourself. I'm moving forward with God. And nothing is going to stop me.

Don't be afraid of demons. Love God, and the demons will have to leave.

Don't focus on the demons within you. Focus on God. Seek him. Be with him and receive his love. Share it with others. And celebrate the goodness that you see in God. Read the Bible and spend time in prayer as well. But above all love those whom God created. When you focus entirely on God the demons are rendered powerless. The Spirit of God lives in you, if you believe in Jesus Christ. Connect with him and accommodate his ideas. Respond to him and do what he tells you. He will speak to you in your heart, and let you know what you should do. Just do it as well as you can. And trust that you are in God's hands and that no one can pluck you out of them.

Where God is there is no place for fear. Don't be afraid of living this life that God gave you. He who gave you life will also show you how to live it. Remember God goes with you wherever you go, and is at your side whatever you do. Seek his counsel, and wait for his response.

Don't make romantic attachments that are one-sided. Romantic love is best when reciprocated. When it is not reciprocated it can weaken the person who expresses it. Submit the unresponsive person to God and let him deal with that person, or let him guide you to some other person who will return your love.

Some things are worth fighting for. Other things are obviously best discarded. You'll know what to do with everything if you submit your life to God and seek his counsel at all times.

Whatever be the case, seek God. And ask God to speak to your heart and let you know what you should do today. Wait for God to speak to you.

If our hearts have met we have met.

How do we worship God?

Many people go to church to worship God. Denominational differences in Christianity may involve different styles of worship. But what ...
