Love Is Enough

The greatest thing a human being can aspire to do is to love selflessly his fellow human beings. Such love is greater than any knowledge whether human or divine. Such love is greater than even faith in God. Such love is the door to knowing and loving God.

When You Hear About Someone's Death

The Sayings of Samuel Godfrey George - About Sins and Sinning

Fear comes from not knowing God. He who knows and receives God's love cannot be terrified of God's justice. For God has paid the price for Man's sins. So let this needless worry about sin be over.

We will all sin as long as we live. Even one sin is bad enough. No one can escape that. But those who believe in and accept Jesus Christ have escaped from the punishment for sin. So let's rejoice in that. Let's begin by smiling.

Nothing can stand next to God. There is no attraction in the world that can stand next to God. There are pretenders and aspirants of course. But they will all ultimately and inevitably pale into significance.

How about casting off the sin that so easily entangles? Is it just a matter of casting off a repulsive snake? Or is it a matter of casting off a delightful, irresistible passion that enthralls the heart? Is it something that a man would want to cast off, or could he do so even if he wanted to? No, it is not possible in human strength. But with God all things are possible. This is the guiding light in the seemingly endless struggle to cast off the beloved sin.

Many are the distractions of the God seeker. Some distractions may be harmless and the others veritably harmful. Therefore he must deliberately choose to think about God and to let the things of God rule over his imagination. However a heart for God and a thirst for God may only come from God Himself.

How much heart have you got left in you for evil after your nightmarish indulgence in it? When God rules the man the ultimate consequence of an evil delight is a nightmare that poisons the very desire for it.

This Is My Ministry

Please support the ministry of Samuel Godfrey George : samgodfreygeorge@gmail.com

What is my ministry? It is an attempt to convey the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. I specifically want to speak this message to those who have turned away from God and who are bitterly opposed to Him. I myself was once an unbeliever and a hater of God. Therefore I believe it is appropriate to speak to those like me, and let them know how God transformed me and even used me, the son of a Hindu. I work mostly all by myself. I have a camera and a laptop to aid me. I make video presentations of my speeches which present my understanding of Christ teachings on YouTube. I also present Bible readings and poetry readings (my own poetry and that of others). I am not affiliated to any church or denomination or organization. I stand purely for Jesus Christ as He is revealed in the Bible. I have a family that stands by me as I do this job. They also participate in my presentations sometimes. I have walked away from my academic degrees and my academic career, as these things do not tug at my heart strings anymore. These are now wholly tugged by God and His Christ and His Holy Spirit. I'd like to do my work wholeheartedly and thus on a full-time basis. Will God sustain me and will He inspire His people to support me? Will anyone stand with me as I take the good news of God's love to the world? This is my question to the world. One cannot carry out a sustained and effective ministry of God without the support of God's people. My ministry needs this support. And the support of the people is not only support. It is an agreement, a partnership, an act of standing along with me when I speak for God and thus those who support me will also speak for God along with me. Will people speak for God along with me? - Samuel Godfrey George, 22 September 2013

O Lord, do not stay far away! Psalm 22

In the New Living Translation —
Praise the Lord, all you who fear him!
Honor him, all you descendants of Jacob!
Show him reverence, all you descendants of Israel!
For he has not ignored or belittled the suffering of the needy.
He has not turned his back on them,
but has listened to their cries for help.

The Sayings of Samuel Godfrey George - About Belief in God

To believe when there is no reason to believe, that is belief.

To believe what you are still not able to accept as true, that is belief.

Belief in God is the persistent unwillingness to trust in your reasonable and probable fears and the persistent willingness to trust in what seems to be the extravagant and improbable promises of God.

It's a journey from confusion to clarity, from despair to hope and from fear to faith. It's my journey to God.

When everything falls apart you will be ready to believe in God.

When you are driven to the extreme you will be driven to believe.

And for a while absolutely nothing moved, nothing appeared to happen. And then suddenly it happened. My miracle happened.

No one cares for me more than God does. No one, not even my parent, not even my friend cares for me more than God does. I may not be able to see him or hear him, but he cares for me more than any human being cares for me.

Who is God? Why should I submit to him?

For Marty (WilliamTyndale1)

What if this world is indeed a creation and that we in the world are the works of a creator? What if the creator is what the Bible claims him to be? Then what are the consequences of our potential decisions regarding this creator?

Do you believe everything that the Bible tells you?

You cannot pick and choose what you believe. There are things in the Bible which you may not find to your liking. Some things are downright reprehensible if not repulsive. What will be your ultimate response to the word of God?

Majesty (Worship His Majesty)

On this bright sunny day we worshipped our King, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Shall I shut the door?

How do you deal with a person who cannot take a clue? How do you deal with a person who repeatedly offends? Sympathy and understanding must take precedence over impulsive and hostile measures.

What do I do with Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar?

What do you do with your religious friends who criticize you unfairly? Do you tolerate them, react sharply to them or throw them out of your home?

A Letter From Gabriel Garcia Marquez

The vital notes of a knowledgeable life sent to those who are desperate to live to give.

Be God-Conscious, Not Sin-Conscious

For Mathew

The Bible has done a great job of exposing Man's essentially sinful nature. Those who read the Bible and pay attention to the details may lose sight of the essential theme of God's word. This is the love of God, which paid the ultimate price for Man's sins. This love of God is what a follower of God must chose to be conscious of. He will do well to celebrate the unbelievable grace of God rather than dwell on his old sinful nature, which was erased when God sanctified him at the moment of believing in the salvation purchased by Jesus Christ.

How do we worship God?

Many people go to church to worship God. Denominational differences in Christianity may involve different styles of worship. But what ...
